First, my apologies for the light static you hear if you turn it up too loud. I’m not yet smarter than my equipment. Anyhoo.
Mike Walters, the first out-of-state employee hired by Left Hand Brewing, came with local beer hero Joe Shea to explain how he brought Left Hand to Minnesota nine years ago. It wasn’t like it is now, you can bet on that. He gave us a glimpse of his “Mini-Moo” car and reflected on his first buyers.
Bent Paddle’s Sarah Meyer, Ballast Point’s Gabby Rudisill, and Happy Gnome GM Emily Brink previewed the upcoming GRRRL party being held to benefit the Family Tree. Rudisill talked about working for a post-purchase brewery, and the challenges/benefits of representing an out-of-state operation.

The show ended with Joe Shea’s and my long-awaited NFL division predictions.
This episode was recorded live at legendary beer bar The Happy Gnome in St. Paul, so pardon the noise in the background: if it sounds like a restaurant was running back there, it’s because there was one.
